Statement of Purpose
The Stones River Craft Association promotes and preserves quality and excellence in the traditional and contemporary three dimensional arts of the Stones River region by supporting artists and providing our community with creative and cultural experiences.
We are represented by professional artists who believe in the integrity of their craft, the excellence of their design and the pursuit of the highest standards of craftsmanship.
Studio Tour
The Studio Tour is a part of our purpose. It is intended to showcase working studios in our city and surrounding area. We place emphasis on educating the public to the processes, operations, locations and artistry of those professionals working in our community. Further, we include other professionals as guests to place further emphasis on the diversity and abundance of the creativity available in our area.
Guest Artist Participation
Artists seeking placement on the Studio Tour must complete this section of the application and have it delivered to the SRCA Tour Committee/Board no later than September 1 of the current year.
With application approval the Studio Tour Committee/Board will provide all participating studios (studio heads) with the names of all artists available for placement consideration. Pending available space the studio heads will then extend an invitation to those artist(s) they wish and can accommodate as guests. To facilitate placement a list of email addresses for all participating studios/studio hosts will be provided to each accepted artists.
Policy and Procedures for Guest Artists
• Attendance at Studio Tour meetings is encouraged
• Assist the Host Studio with preparations for the Tour
• Must participate all published days and hours of the Tour
